Transformer Partial Discharge Online Monitoring IED
Partial discharges may occur in certain parts of the oil-impregnated paper transformer insulation structure when subjected to excessive electric field strength. For example, sharp edges or burrs on the conductor surface of turn insulation, or sharp edges on the tank and certain metal structural components. Additionally, there are "wedge-shaped" oil gaps between turns and at the contact points between turns and spacers, which have lower breakdown strength. Improper handling of these areas during manufacturing can also lead to partial discharges. Fault statistics indicate that transformer insulation failures often originate from the aging of oil-paper insulation caused by partial discharges.
The IED of this transformer partial discharge online monitoring system adopts a standard chassis, with the number of channels configurable according to customer requirements, and the channels are UHF high-frequency sensor channels. The rear panel is labeled with: RS485A, RS485B, network port, high-frequency sensor, and power interface.l operation.
